Telangana, India’s 28th state, was founded on June 2, 2014. The formation of Telangana signifies the victory of the Telangana movement. On 17th of June, celebrations of Telangana formation day took place at Amrita Vidyalayam.
The program started with the lightening of the lamp by respected Padmini ma’am and the Telugu staff. The introduction was done by Bhagya and Sri Harsha. Next, Girisha of Class V recited a beautiful poem about the beauty of Telangana, followed by a conversation between Sravya and Samskruthi of Class 10. Then came Sriveda of Class 10 to give an inspirational speech about our beloved Telangana. A group of girls from classes VI and VII sang a melodious song, and girls from classes VI, VII and VIII performed a gracious dance. Finally, the programme concluded with Shanthi mantra.
