Sanitation Award from the Ministry of Human Resource Development

Amrita Vidyalayam added another feather to its cap recently. The National School Sanitation Ratings is promoted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India on an annual basis, for those schools that have been rated online for sanitation and have taken noteworthy steps towards the betterment of the sanitation scenario in their schools in varied ways. The Central Government sponsored awards are given for Awareness Generation leading to Behavioural Change through Students and Community Mobilization, Technical Innovation and Interventions, Creation & Conservation of Green Spaces, etc. Among the 10,200 CBSE schools in India, 100 schools were shortlisted by CBSE officials after a scrupulous inspection.

 

19 Amrita Vidyalayams including Amrita Vidyalayam, Secunderabad were selected to receive the prestigious NATIONAL SANITATION AWARD from Dr. M.M. Pallam Raju, Union Cabinet Minister for Human Resource Development.
