Guru is the supreme who illuminates divinity in us and removes the ignorance of those who are blinded by the cataract of ajnana-The Delusion. Realising the importance of the guru in our lives, we the students of Amrita Vidyalayam celebrate Guru Poornima every year. On this auspicious occasion, we perform Guru Paduka Puja to our Guru-AMMA. Then we have the samskriti pooja, offering prayers to our parents by worshipping their feet. This day is a unique opportunity to show our deep concern and respect to elders, to bring forth peace and prosperity in our lives.
